The Kangaroo Luxe Dog is designed with safety and comfort in mind. It features a unique Torsion Suspension System that is built into the lightweight front frame, maximizing both comfort and safety. This system allows the bike to move freely over uneven terrain while reducing vibrations felt by the rider and passengers in the cabin. Additionally, it enables the front of the bike to lean while cornering delivering a more responsive ride.

Protective and Flexible Hood
The Cabin Hood has four windows and a rear panel that can be opened. Additionally, it has a sunroof at the top which can be opened to easily keep an eye on your dog while cycling. When the sunroof and side windows are open, fresh air can easily circulate within the cargo bike cabin, making it cool and comfortable on hot days.
The hood is made from water-repellent fabric, and the durable YKK zippers make it easy to open and close the front and windows. The rear panel also opens easily and has a large mesh pocket, providing access to the storage compartment behind the seats.
The strong 22 mm aluminum bars not only provide extra protection above your dog’s head for increased safety, but also serve as convenient handles when opening or closing the cabin cover.

A Safe and Comfortable Ride
With Kangaroo Luxe Dog you can bring your four-legged friend along. With its spacious cabin and flat base, your dog can enjoy a comfortable and secure journey. An adjustable leash is attached to the back of the cabin frame to securely fasten the dog while riding. The length of the leash can be adjusted, allowing the dog to freely move around the cabin by sitting, standing, or lying down. For increased safety, we recommend using a body harness that the dog can wear while being fastened. And if you ever need to customize the cabin interior or add seats, our seat solutions designed for the Kangaroo Luxe are fully compatible with the Kangaroo Luxe Dog. This way, you can extend the life of your cargo bike by using it for different purposes or easily resell it when you no longer need it.

Safety Features On Winther Kangaroo Luxe Dog
Kangaroo Luxe Dog is equipped with Hydraulic Disc Brakes on all three wheels, which is a most powerful and safe brake option. They feature a strong braking force during all weather conditions, also when it’s wet outside. Hydraulic Disc Brakes are superior in modulation - meaning the ability to precisely and accurately control the braking force - so you can stop the bike when and where you want.
The brake system comes with a parking brake which is easily activated by pushing a dial on the left brake lever. This locks the two front wheels, securing the cargo bike, also on uneven terrain.
The Cabin Hood is Water-resistant and protect dogs and groceries from rain and wind. The top edge of the hood has been reinforced by a strong 22 mm aluminum bars which offer protection for added safety in case of collision or overturning. Holding the Hood is their secondary purpose.
Our cabin bases are formed in strong impact-resistant PE or PSPE material without any sharp edges. This enhances dog comfort and safety during the ride. The front frame of Winther cargo bikes is engineered to effectively distribute and transfer impact forces.
For increased animal safety and pleasant visibility, Kangaroo Luxe Dog has a low seat position in the cabin. The sturdy plywood based forms a stabile and secure base for the dog. Convenient Storage for Every Adventure
Behind the dog area, there is plenty of space for storing items such as groceries, dog toys, blankets, or other essentials, ensuring a balanced weight distribution for stable rides. This also helps prevent overcrowding in the cabin. A zipper closure at the back provides easy access to the storage compartment, and the mesh pocket at the rear is perfect for storing smaller items like treats, leashes, and water bottles.
With the Quick Release Clamp located beneath the Dog Comfort Base, you can easily adjust the size of the storage compartment to suit your needs. If you need extra space — for example, when doing a big grocery shop — you can simply move the divider forward to maximize room at the back. You can also quickly remove the divider entirely for even more space for cargo, making it easy to adapt the cabin to your needs.

Easy Cabin Entry
The Cabin has a low entrance, making it easy for dogs to get in and out of the cabin on their own. This saves you from having to lift your dog in and out repeatedly.
The front kickstand ensures the cabin remains stable when your dog enters or exits, so you don’t have to worry about balancing the cargo bike during the process.

Navigate in Tight Spaces
Kangaroo Luxe Dog has one of the smallest turning circles on the market, enabling it to make tight turns in confined spaces and even perform U-turns. The lightweight aluminum frame enhances maneuverability, making it a pleasure to ride.
The stable 3-wheeled platform ensures high stability while loading and unloading. Parking the bike is made simple with the 3-wheel design - activating the parking brake on the Hydraulic Disc System locks the two front wheels, allowing you to safely leave the bike on any terrain.
A sturdy Gas-damper softens the ride even with larger loads in the cabin.

Tailwind On Demand
At Winther, we offer both mid-drive motors and rear hub motors. The placement of the mid-drive motor ensures optimal weight distribution and a well-balanced riding experience. The powerful mid-drive motor efficiently transfers energy to the rear wheel via the chain, just like on a regular bike, providing you with a smoother and more stable ride. The motor's assistance is regulated based on the force applied to the pedals.
With a motor positioned in the bike's rear wheel, the pedal assistance feels like a push from behind. Rear hub motors are equipped with rotation sensors that activate the motor when wheel rotation is detected, providing a sensation of being pushed forward.
All motor's performance are measured in Nm (Newton meters). The higher the Nm, the more assistance is provided, which is useful in hilly terrain or on cargo bikes. Our E-motors provide assistance up to 25 km/h to ensure compliance and safety. All Winther cargo bikes come with a removable battery for maximum convenience when recharging at any standard power outlet.

The Bafang rear hub motor with 8 external gears gives you powerful pedaling assistance and can feel like you are getting a friendly push from behind. When the sensor-based motor kicks in, you get a consistent and even help from the motor matching your selected assist level.
The e-motor system consists of a Bafang motor connected to a huge high-capacity battery, giving Winther Kangaroo Luxe an incredibly powerful and lightweight rear hub motor. The motor system is powered by a powerful Bafang Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 750 Wh (equivalent to 17.5 Ah), located on the rear rack, and has an output torque of 45 Nm, giving Winther Kangaroo Luxe plenty of power, both up the steep hills and in quick accelerations. The Bafang M410 also features a startup assist, which helps the rider maneuver the cargo bike more easily when sitting on the cargo bike. This feature is particularly useful when you need extra push starting up or navigating tight spaces.
